The Blue Bistro by Elin Hilderbrand
Oct. 12th, 2009 04:22 pmI have to thank L. for lending this book to me. Once again, our tastes are very similar. But this one stroke closer to home than usual.
The story is pretty classic : girl runs from previous job and drug addicted/thief ex-boyfriend and got a job she clearly shouldn't have got but the owner has the hots for her. The restaurant is very exclusive but the staff is like a big family. Everything should run smoothly on the romance front except the owner is only co-owner of the restaurant and his partner is his girl bff who he knew since early childhood and who is for some mysterious reason a recluse.
Adrienne, the heroin, isn't perfect but I didn't want to kick her that much (or at all once she decided to see the truth about Fee).

My review isn't very linear but that's the way it is when I really loved a book. :)
