Read in July
The good : the first two books of the Charlie Hood series by T. Jefferson Parker (crime) and King of Thorns by Mark Lawrence (fantasy, 2nd book of a trilogy)
The bad : the boring and pointless Swordpoint (fantasy) and Scandalous Desires (romance)
The Excellent : Blood Song by Anthony Ryan (fantasy, hell yes!) and Lady Awakened by Cecila Grant (romance). The first one gave a delicious new interpretation of an old recipe and the second had a very interesting plot and characters - who couldn't quite manage to have good sex for a long time.
